Today is Trans Day of Visibility 🏳️⚧️
It’s a day to celebrate our trans siblings and the diverse experiences they face, while amplifying their voices. Let’s celebrate and be proud!
As allies, we must remember that for many in the trans community, visibility comes with its own challenges. It’s more important than ever that we take the time to listen to our trans friends, colleagues and family members and show up for them every single day of the year. Let’s stand in solidarity with some of the most marginalised in our community. 🏳️⚧️
Trans, intersex and nonbinary people belong in sport, and at IGLA London 2023 are welcome to take part.
Across all our events you can sign up to compete under the category you feel comfortable with. We are operating men’s, women’s and open categories, with some events running as open non-gendered tournaments.
Under our code of conduct, we all acknowledge that gender is not binary and respect each individual’s right to self-identify. All those involved are working to establish a safe environment that is open to all individuals.
We are proud to be celebrating the diversity of our community and look forward to welcoming everyone to London!
